🔒 Privacy First: Your Data Stays Local

Important: ReclaimMe stores ALL your data locally on your computer. We do not collect, store, or transmit your personal data to our servers. Your social media content, analysis results, and personal information never leave your device.

🗑️ Complete Data Deletion

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control over deletion. Follow these steps to permanently remove all ReclaimMe data:

Option 1: Uninstall the Application

Uninstall ReclaimMe from your computer using your operating system's standard uninstall process
Delete application data folder (see paths below)
Verification: All your data is now permanently deleted

Option 2: Manual Data Deletion

Close the ReclaimMe application completely
Navigate to the data directory for your operating system
Delete the entire ReclaimMe folder
Empty your trash/recycle bin to permanently delete

Data Storage Locations

ReclaimMe stores data in the following locations:

Windows:
%APPDATA%\ReclaimMe\
C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\ReclaimMe\

macOS:
~/Library/Application Support/ReclaimMe/

Linux:
~/.config/ReclaimMe/

What Data is Deleted

Deleting the ReclaimMe folder removes:

All downloaded social media posts and photos
AI analysis results and reputation scores
Application settings and preferences
Local database with your content metadata
Archived content in all categories
Export files and reports
Application logs and usage data

🔗 Social Media Connections

ReclaimMe connects to social media platforms using your credentials, but does not store them on our servers:

Revoking Access

Facebook: Go to Settings & Privacy → Settings → Apps and Websites → Remove ReclaimMe
Instagram: No OAuth connection - only username/password used locally
Twitter/X: Go to Settings → Security and account access → Apps and sessions → Revoke ReclaimMe access

Note: Since ReclaimMe uses local authentication, revoking access from social media platforms primarily prevents future connections. Your locally stored data must still be deleted manually as described above.

Social Media Content: Posts, photos, comments, and metadata
AI Analysis: Risk assessments and reputation scoring
Usage Metrics: Application performance and feature usage
Error Logs: Technical information for debugging

Processing Location

All data processing occurs:

Locally on your device using AI models
Without internet connection for analysis
Without sending data to external servers
Under your complete control and ownership

⏱️ Retention Policy

Since all data is stored locally:

No automatic deletion: Data persists until you manually delete it
No server storage: We cannot delete data remotely
Your control: You decide when and what to delete
Export available: You can export your data before deletion
